Chinese Pan Fried Egg

Description

Just some pan fried eggs with scallions and a sauce so don’t expect too much. The eggs are cooked in a high non stick pan with lid.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 eggs
  • 12 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 scallions
  • 1.5 tbsp regular soy sauce
  • 1 dl water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Finely chop up scallions.
  2. Mix soy sauce, water, cornstarch, sugar, salt and pepper in a separate bowl. This is the sauce.
  3. Add oil to pan on medium-high heat and add eggs. You can lower to temperature to medium once they start cooking. You can put on lid to avoid oil splatter. 
  4. Flip all eggs after 2 – 3 min.
  5. Add scallions and sauce. Cook for 2 -3 min. The sauce will thicken. 
  6. Done.
